PIA Opens Nonstop Link Between Riyadh and Sialkot

Pakistan International Airlines has added a new nonstop service between Riyadh and Sialkot, giving travelers in both cities a faster, more direct option.

The airline says the move responds to strong demand — roughly 200,000 passengers fly each year from Riyadh to different Pakistani cities. By targeting Sialkot, a key hub for Pakistan’s business community and overseas workers, PIA aims to ease travel for both visiting families and conducting trade.

PIA officials say the route is part of a broader effort to improve connectivity with Saudi Arabia, which remains one of Pakistan’s most important destinations for labor migration and tourism.

Special Arbaeen Flights Wrap Up

Separately, PIA has concluded a short-term flight operation for pilgrims heading to Najaf, Iraq, during the Arbaeen period. The special service began on August 8 after Pakistani authorities prohibited overland travel to Iraq and Iran for security reasons.

Flights for the outbound leg ended today, with return journeys planned between August 18 and 23. Fares for the round trip were fixed at $675.
